Overview:
The Environment and The Republic was created to serve as an objective source for news, specifically, current events and opinion focusing on the American environment; and a resource promoting an increased appreciation for and greater understanding of the environment of the United States of America.
The Environment and The Republic aggregates environmental news and other relevant information from a variety of online sources.
Mission:
- A (New) Standard-Bearer and Objective Source for Environmental News / Journalism / Opinion.
- Broaden the scope and inclusiveness of Environmental Journalism to include a perspective of environmental concerns from the viewpoint of a diverse demographic of socio-economic and cultural groups.
- Increase Environmental Awareness and Environmental Stewardship by increasing the audience, and public consciousness, engaged by environmental news relative to human well-being, including human habitat (urban, suburban and rural), as well as nature.
- Recognizing the importance of acknowledging Crime and Public Safety as a preeminent environmental concern.
- Defender of the United States of America - as a republic - its people, environment, economy, land, prosperity, freedom and culture.
